Week 16: 5th Grade - paragraph "How to Build a Snowman"
Today you are going to skip your typing lesson and instead open a new document in Google Docs and share your research finding in paragraph form. Simply take all your "treasure words" that you recovered last week, and create a well developed paragraph describing the steps you need to take to build a snowman! Remember to paraphrase and never to copy--unless you use quotation marks. Put your research into your own words and add your own creativity to your paragraph! What makes your snowman different than your neighbors? Add as many details as you can! When you are finished, you may add one photo to go with your paragraph. Make sure you include all your steps! Lastly, don't forget to keep your fingers on home row! This is your keyboarding practice for the day!
Project Guidelines
Your project must include (follow the "check-off list" handout):
a heading (your name, teacher name, and date)
a well written detailed paragraph with spelling corrections (don't forget to indent on the first line)
a citation for the website you used to record your information
an inserted picture to go along with your paragraph
***In your writing use words such as: First, next, after that, finally, etc.
